fuel screw threads

fuel screw threads

anyone know the size tap and die i would need to clean up the threads on my fuel screw? the are a little messed up from taking the collar off and want to fix it right so nothing gets messed up.

I boogered up mine when I took off the lock tab. I think it was 6mmx1.0mm, and get a good die 'cause that screw is hard!

well for some reason either my fuel screw is either larger than normal or my die is not correct. here is a picture

i don't know whats up with it, dave (wannadiesel) also said it was 6.0mmX1. i just can't see how mine would different from anyone else.

I'm not infallible. I got that info from a search and it was the wrong answer. When I cleaned mine up I borrowed a metric die set from my brother - I just used the one that fit so I don't remember which it was. Yours is the same as everybody elses', I just gave you bad info. Sorry.
