fuel pump leak

im scared to jump into my fuel pump, (stock VE, but fuel screw turned and a shaved fuel pin) someone else did the work for me. but its been leaking lately. by looking at it watching it drip i narrowed it down. by the look of the diagram i found on a diffferent post i think its the - spring seat - that is leaking. i was just wondering if any of you guys knew if that was even possible? i dont want to order the part, take it all apart then figure out that it not even possible for it to leak.

I'm a newby myself but the pump isn't that bad to redo. I completely tore mine down and redid it. I'll admit I made a boo boo on mine and had to pull the pump after re-installing it and it wouldn't run. It just gave me the chance to get intimate with it lol. If you take it off and apart read the stickys, watch the videos, take pics, and take notes BEFORE you disassemble. Run everybody off and away from you and take your time and it will be all good!! Patience helps alot, but you can do it!! Take pics of your leak and post on here first it may be a simple fix. But anyways good luck!!
