Fuel leak at back of engine

Got stopped on freeways with fuel dripping from between block and bellhousing. It doesn't seem to be the return line but it's hard to see.

Any help would be appreciated.

I believe the only thing there that can be leaking fuel is the tee in the return line where the injector and injection pump returns tie together . . . to ask the obvious: are you sure that the fuel isn't running to that point from somewhere else?

Fairly sure. We got a tow. And now in other car. Will look better next week.

A guy on a motorcycle waved and said I was leaking fuel. I pulled off freeways and entire back of truck was wet. Underside is wet. Had to be towed home. We loaded up the car and beat it up to Lone Pine. Just got here.

What a bummer. A few more things to fix and I'll have a new truck.

Sorry to hear about your fuel leak. Confident you will find the leak.

There is a bright side, at least it didn't happen on Hwy 395 north of Little Lake in the middle of nowhere. That can be a lonely stretch of road with very few Repair facilities. It can be a dark and lonely place. Not many people willing to stop and help either.

Have a nice weekend in Lone Pine.

Sounds scary- could've ended being like a scene from the movie "From Dusk till Dawn". Don't want that, lol!

I got a sneaking suspicion it probably has something to do with that piston lift pump you recently installed about a month ago. Sounds like a lot of fuel if someone on a bike saw it spraying out.

I was thinking about that also. It was quite a bit but we hadn't gone far. Was on 91 in Corona. Truck is old and time for things to break.

Oil pressure went down too. Wondering if fuel is going into crankcase. Checked dipstick but couldn't tell.

1st thing to do is clean it up so you can start the process of elimination.

Hey, Edwin, how's wifey handling all the mishaps with the truck? Is she patient and understanding about it? Hope it all works out and it's an easy fix.
