Fuel injectors or spark plugs?

How hard is it to change fuel injectors on a diesel as compared to changing plugs on a
big block mopar?

Depends on how stuck they are. Some of them you need to make a cheap little slide hammer to pull. Its fairly simple. Loosen the injector line hold downs, loosen the injector line at the injector, loosen the retention cup.

I like to get a lugnut thats hollow and screw it 1/2 way on the injector top, take a 10-12 inch carriage bolt and slide a washer and a big socket (1.5in or larger) and screw the threaded end into the nut on the injector. Now use the socket like a slide and pop the injector out.

Be sure when installing you clean the injector bores extremely well and use antiseize in the threads for the install.

It's kind of comparing apples to oranges really, but I would say the injectors are a little bit more involved. Not too hard though.

Charger.. Honestly I think it is easier. You don't need to remove or loosen those headers to reach in the tight spots to get to the plugs. It is a pain to get to the last 2 (# 5 & 6) unless you are right up on top of the motor. But like mentioned before, clean them up good (blow air or something), remove injector, clean bore if possible, Never Seize the heck out of them, Tighten them down and try starting the motor. Worse case is that you may need to bleed each one (crack the fuel line a little) to get fuel flowing really good. When I did mine, I thought it was flowing good because fuel did come out a little bit. But it wasn't working the best. Once the beast started and I cracked the fuel, it was Spewing all over the place because that fuel is under HIGH pressure (wear goggles). So just because it LOOKS like fuel is coming out, it may not be and still have air in there. Once you see it started and do it again, it flies really good and you will see a difference in pressure.

Use to own a 71 runner that had a 340, but then transplanted a 440 6-pack in there. Those were the days

I did my injectors in about 2 hours, and I`m a total diesel newbie, it may look intimidating but it`s pretty simple. Just take yer time and keep everything clean clean clean.
