fuel gauge plumbing
fuel gauge plumbing
Hi Guys, does anyone have any pics or instuctions of how they plumbed a needle valve and gauge(line) into there fuel system? I probably will have to change my LP and I might as well plumb a guage in.
On the filter head I believe is a fitting. Dont quote me on that though, i'll have to get in toich with a friend of mine, he had one plumbed in when we checked his LP.
Someone will check in, in a bit. We need a sticky article on this.

There are two ways to accomplish this.
One is to order from Geno's(I think), a replacement banjo-bolt, that has a big head that is threaded to receive the fuel-gauge line.
This bolt simply replaces whichever existing bolt that you want to tap for fuel pressure.
The method I used was to replace the hard lines with flexible fuel-lines, then splice in a TEE fitting with a gauge port.
One advantage of the flexible lines is that the filter can be relocated to a much more accessible location; also, if the hard line, between lift-pump and filter, is replaced with flexible, future pump work is greatly simplified.
