Fuel delivery theory

When the big bag-o-cash I ordered gets delivered I would like to put a max duty solenoid on each injector line, use the high pressure pump from a turd gen and a FAST engine management controller and start tweaking with my laptop on the chassis dyno. I love the VE and all but it's the equivilent of a carburetor.....
I wonder how much pressure a POD will take before it explodes!

Solenoids will be too slow...

The VE is a lot more sophisticated than the P7100. Think of it as a ThermoQuad vs. a Holley double pumper.

Funny you should mention ThermoQuad. I still have a "Carter Strip Kit" for tuning the ThermoQuad I had on my ill fated '77 Macho Power Wagon. I even created a graph with the metering rod steps and jet size relation ships! I put a wide band O2 sensor in her and tuned from that. I also had a TQ on a '70 Cutlass Convertible we had, and pulled 23 MPG!

The million dollar injectors are controlled by solenoids, why not use the same type inline?

Why not just swap in a 3rd gen motor?

Don't want that pile! (just kidding). Where's the fun in that? I think the 12 Valve has more meat in the head and will probably take more of my abuse ultimately. But that could be a load of crap too.

I like the retro fit idea better........
