all pumps are different as well. one pump could have the fuel screw all the way in and not run away and the other could only have a couple of turns and be running away.

you could try a hammer and punch to break the jam nut loose or you can heat a 10mm (i think) combination wrench and bend it 90* on the closed end. slip it over the jam nut and use a pair of vice grips to break it loose then turn the idle screw whichever way you need to go. for me, i used a hammer and punch, then just pushed the throttle back a tad with one hand, reached in and spun the idle screw with 2 fingers and locked the jam nut

I know whit adv. timing its near impossible to get near the low idle screw, i had to re adjust it about 10 times to get the idle where i liked it, and that included loosening and re-timing the pump all 10 times. Also the 2nd gen screws are longer and have a hex head instead of the screwdriver slot. Do you have gauges? wouldn't want to burn up your truck before you even get started.

O yea I'm gauged out. I have a 2 gauge column pod and a 3 gauge home made diamond plated pod I mounted over my rear view mirror. I need a tach tho. I need to show off my home made pod. It looks awesome to me.
