Oh ok I thought that the tip was damaged by the amount of fuel flowing past it. In my head the bigger injectors would make it worse but now I see that I was wrong again. Thanks for the explanation That does sound like a good excuse for bigger injectors. The injectors would also be a great excuse for a bigger turbo lol...

I just read the article in the sticky about sanding the tip down and all that. I have my fss gutted right now should I unhook the power from it? Also I lost the spring from my old fss and I might otherwise be able to save it with some sanding. Anyone have an idea for a replacment spring?

Well the modified tip on mine has Never had a problem in for about 3000 miles and that's with a maxed out pump and stock injectors. It's the original plunger with 350k on it.

what i can't figure out is howcome mine still works....
I don't think there is much more i can do to the my pump... Maybe it swallowed the entire rubber plunger and the metal ball is clogging the hole for me
I was told its the first thing thats going to fail when i put the screw in... but it hasn't yet...

If your truck is a non intercooled '91 it has bigger injectors and that is helping it survive. If it is intercooled with the smaller injectors you must never let off the throttle real quick. Or you could just be lucky.

Well yesterday I couldnt take the pull cable anymore. I sanded the tip like it says in the sticky. I got a new spring from the hardware store but it was too stiff the magnet wasnt strong enough to pull it back. I took the spring out of a pen and put it in there and it works great. Shuts down no problem now. I am just impatient and could not stand the pull cable anymore. My new FSS got here today so I guess I will throw it in the glove box as an extra.

FSS issue
Currently a no start 91.5 12 valve, pulled it in garage to change manual fuel lift pump and change fuel filter, Now no power to FSS solenoid? Must have disturbed something on the fender well?

IIRC there are either 2 or 3 wires that come out of that loom and one goes to the KSB and may not have power, check all with key on with test light to make sure you got the right one
