front wheel bearings

front wheel bearings

Got a dumb question for you guys. On 4x4 frist gens. (dana 60) do the front wheel bearings need to be repacked or are the lubed by the diff oil.

Definately repack them or make sure there is good clean grease in them. There is no way to get diff oil to them through u-joints.

make sure you use high temp grease too...

I felt pretty dumb after I posted that last night. LOL so I don't know what I was thinking. Well I think I'll repack them tomorrow sometime. I'm sure it wouldn't hurt any. They're real tight, and I'd like to keep they that way for as long as possible. Thanks for the replys, for a questiong that I guess I didn't need to ask after all. lol
