front leaf springs, same as chev?

My old truck is the victim of spring sag, ive only got about 1" before it hits the bumpstops & it rides like an old buckboard! Anyways Ive got a newer set of 4" lift front springs laying around here out of an 80's Chev. 4X4 & they look like they would fit? I measured eye to eye length, the eyes & bushings seem to be the same, does anyone know if they will work?
thanks,
Doug

they may fit, bit will they be up to the weight of the cummins in there? probly not but if they sag untill there straight mabe you will have a chance, but those old chevys arent near as heavy as these trucks are on the front.

The wrap on the eyes of the main spring are different. If you ran chevy springs it would give you worse pinion angle.

Leave the dodge main in the truck.

Take the chevy pack appart and put its lower leafs under the dodge main.

I mix-n-match leafs from the salvage yard all the time.
