Front end question

As you can see below I have a 92 D350 2WD.

I was having a discussion with my dad. He was telling me that Dodge front ends are notorious for being cr*p. He was telling me that his experience with an early 80's 3/4 ton Dodge truck indicated that it had the same front end as a Duster.

Your thoughts would be appreciated.

The 2wd's are known for eating ball joints unless you use the Moog units, so the reputation is not entirely undeserved.

A Duster front end it's not. Design is roughly similar (unequal length control arms, uses strut rods to locate wheels fore & aft) but the parts on the trucks are upsized to handle the loads.

From: North Carolina or Kentucky. Take your pick
Duster had torsion bar suspension. Haven't seen that on any full size RAM.
