Found this on my drain plug Magnet

Hey all.

This is my first time posting on here.

I found this while changing my oil and I am wondering what this came from and how it go there.

Also if i should worry about it. The truck still works just fine.

Any help would be great.

Looks like an exact picture of the same thing posted a few times before in the past. It was the metal ring so to speak around a valve seal.

I'd have to agree with Bill. If it's not trailing blue smoke don't worry about it.

The complete piece looks just like a spring type hose clamp. It fell down through the head drains. The rest of it is probably still holding the valve seal on.
