Fluid Cap.

How much gear oil does my front axle hold? Fluid is leaking out of the bottom of the cover so I need to take it off and fix it. I just do not want to buy more fluid than I need.

Not for certain, but around three, maybe four quarts.

The same fluid goes in front, rear, and trandfer-case, so it won't hurt to keep any extra.

Be sure to examine the vent and clean out the dirt-dauber nest which most likely caused the leak.
