flasher question

I'm not sure what a diode in that location would do. The LED is already a diode! Another diode would just make it so the LED would never work.

My thoughts exactly !!

I found a couple of Trydon flashers that are electronic and operate a relay to flash the turn signals. BUT - they are all open circuit, and we need closed circuit.
IE the relay contacts are open when you're not using the turn signal. This prevents the emergency flashers from working.

I'm still trying to locate 2 Trydon flashers the MIGHT work.....IF I can find them. Nobody seems to have any, and Trydon shows them discontinued.

Yeah, I tried 2 or 3 electronic flashers that never worked for me. That's why I ended up with the ballast resistors.
