^^^ Where do I get these? Need some. Been looking, PM me.
Thanks guys, it was fun. Everything worked good, just not enough smoke.
The water to air IC seems to work great. The intake pipe at the head was cool to the touch right after 2 runs. Hard to watch it all, but never saw the pyro over 1400*, 45 psi boost.
Yes, definitely need the EDM's. Soon, very soon.

Yeah, Troy it is the bus heater core in there. We are short some fittings to have the ideal setup, but will have them soon. Right now the hot water is getting dumped back onto the ice, and it melts really fast.
Will have it setup with a coolant loop and then the core submersed in ice water. 2 separate fluids.
The Selectro's were on it when we got it, pretty sure this is an early '89, probably left overs or something. They were common on the older 1 tons. I think the lock-out was probably not what it once was. The other didn't bother. Even though you can see where is turned a little on the hub, removing all the slack from the bolt holes.
Anyways we ran the power screw up to the verge of runaway, and tried it again. Survived 4 more hooks.
I think we ended up 3rd in the 8500 Diesel, and 2nd in the Open class. The film crew was a little optimistic with their seating choice.
The extra fuel helped, went 250' in the diesel class. Hit 1500* this time.

Went like 215' in the open:

This is the guy who won the Open class. '67 6x6, snapped a drive shaft.

So how did we fix the lockout? Don't laugh, it held. We also had a shield in place, just in case. The aluminum part was all that broke. There were 2 steel collars in there, and you can see the rest. Coming soon is a home brewed drive flange setup, without welding

Looks good. Next you'll be breaking the baby 1 1/4" 30 spline front outer axle shafts. Before you homebrew your 30 spline flanges, you might buy the 35 spline 1.5" outers and fab a 35 spline hub flange.
This guy makes 35 Spline, external drive flanges for the early Dodge 60's
