FINALLY got some paint on my crew cab!

I learned something new this weekend.... I HATE painting! I stripped and epoxy-primed yesterday and this morning I laid the paint on. Few sags and a couple of runs but overall it came out pretty good.

Now I just need a half dozen of you guys to stop by and help lift the cab back onto the frame!

looks good, isn't it amazing what a difference a paint job can make in the attitude of a truck.

YES! Its weird looking at it now.. Looks fresh off the assembly line, like I just ordered it from the dealer and they delivered it today. I keep walking out to just stare at it.

Looks Good.

Did you have to do any repairs to the roof? If so how did you get around it being so loose? I think it was Johnny5 who filled the space between the inner and outer roof shells with spray in foam.

Other than a half dozen hail dents (that I don't care about since the truck will be so tall) the roof on this truck was rock solid. No rust anywhere on this cab except for a softball sized patch on the drivers floorpan.

You buy the flight, supply the coffee (or whiskey) and the Copenhagen and I'll be there.

We actually have a "junk car ordinance" here in Lincoln. If someone would report me I'd have 10 days to remove the trucks or buy a "hobby permit" that would be good for something like 90 days for $50. Hopefully I will have the truck going in the next few weekends.
