Finally Done Some Good Mods

Well I started about 10 days ago on a long list of mods. I installed the items in my sig and so far I am really impressed. I have not had any full throttle runs as I just got the truck out of the shop tonight and need to put on about 100km before I start to play. For anyone loking at the BD turbo set-up it fit very well. Keep in mind you will need the turbo outlet flange(non i/c guys) and the inlet oil adapter (94+ trucks) and a new downpipe.(I cut up the one in the kit and got two pre bent 4" 90's which worked great) I will keep everyone posted as to my opinon on the injectors/turbo/exaust as far as smoke/power/egt's.

well the spool up is unreal! Tap the peddle and your at 10-15psi. Floor it and within seconds your pushin 38psi and grabbin another gear. The turbo whistles like no other. I still have not floored it through all the gears but a full throttle fourth gear used to hit 1400+ on the EGT gauge now I just break 1100 and thats without changing the pump from my previous settings.(guess its time for more fuel )

Cool, thanks for the update! I gotta get one of those once the wallet refills.

Get that 3200 RPM spring in there and you will have more time to shift.

o.k. so I have some time on this new set-up now and I am chasing a bit of a demon. With the stock set-up and now my new set-up(turbo,injectors,intercooler,etc.) I have a "dieseling" or "pinging" as I go into 4th. I posted about it earlier but i am still not sure about the problem. I am driving hard or easy(doesnt matter) shift into 4th and lay into the pedal (heavy) and the motor does the "pinging". It sound bad for the motor. I am concerned about blowing the head gasket or something. It sounds like lots of timing in a gas vehical. If I gradualy accelerate it does not make the sound. I have not bumped the timing ever. Not before or after my mods. What do you guys think?

No, its not drive train related. I can here/feel the engine almost predetonating or some thing. If it were a gas vehical I would say to much timing its predetonating. I am not sure how that applies to diesel engines however. Is it possible the engine needs more timing. Everyone seems to have bumped timing and mine is stock. I do have some what of a whiteish haze at idle.
