Well the truck is finaly going on the road. I'm going to sell my WVO jetta. Convert the truck and run it for work. The exhaust is currently cut off right before the muffler. I'd love to go up with it and have 2 5 inch stacks on top of the flat bed. But that screws the bed up for a camper or my mowers and stuff. I have a friend with a tubing bender that will bend up pipe for free. But it will only go up to 3 inches. So i'd like to back with 2 3 inch pipes.

My question is it going to be the right noise level. it seems a little loud now, but that might be because it is right behind the cab. Any Ideas?

Running it out the back will help some, but if you work the truck you will probably find that you want a muffler.

 

Should I just get a stright through diesel muffler?

 

Yes, those take the edge off it but still let you hear the exhaust.

 

Thanks, is there any place on the net to get one with a 3 inch in and out for cheep?
