Hello Im looking at running 5inch exhaust and want to know I belive on a buddy of mine we had to leave the stock 3" untill after the cross member. I was going to cut it there and at the 5" after that. Does anyone see any issues with that or know a way to run 5" most of the way? If I do this 3" till after the x-member then 5" the rest of the way it should still be good n lound and sound good too i belive. Anyone have any suggestions please feel free to hollar. Thanks

You can run 4" all the way back its just a tight fit around the cross member.

 

From what I hear (on my own and from others) is that 3" straight is the loudest, mine is pretty loud. Stans headers has a full turbo back 4" kit and several on here have installed it straight up with lower sound than desired, I would think a 3 to 5 system might not be that loud. But then again I am no expert.

 

there few members that are running a full 5" turbo back, and sound like its a really tight fit too

 

A friend of mine has a Turbo back 5" on his and its REALLY loud! Tight fit but it works!
