Exhaust manifold help!

Anyone happen to know what the Cummin's or Dodge part # is, for the passenger side exhaust manifold. I found a few cracks towards the rear on mine. The BD manifold would be nice, but at over $400, it's too pricey for me.

Can't you just take one of the drivers side, and flip it over?

LOL!! Couldn't help myself

I can look it up when I get home.

For that matter, you can have my old one if you can stand shipping from 27529.

Check out your studs on the head if they are not in the middle of the existing exhaust manifold you may have problems. the head or the manifolds actually shrink over time i believe causing this phenomenon. Mine look ok but my buddies are really close to the flanges on the exhaust manifold.

I would never recommend buying a new stock manifold. The 3 piece aftermarket ones are only 25% more expensive, will never crack, and flow better too.

Thanks all for the input! David; thanks for the offer of your manifold. Right now I guess I am weighing my options. The Cummin's exhaust is $320 (plus shipping). For the price difference, I might as well pony up the extra $100 for the BD manifold Anyone know if you get mounting bolts/studs, with the BD manifold? I know with the Cummin's factory exhaust (new), you have to buy them separate.
So from what I am hearing, replacing the exhaust manifold on the 6BT is a pain in the backside?? I have a buddy who is a great gas welder. Maybe I'll see if the can weld the cracks? Oh; anyone here install a BD manifold?

I pulled mine recently to replace the manifold gaskets, was a piece of cake. Soaked the bolts overnight with PBBlaster and they came right out. The hardest thing was getting to the bolts right behind th turbo, since I didn't remove it, but that wasn't enough that I would call it hard.

Take the turbo off!!! It weighs ten times less with it off and much easier to mount back up. I used a air impact wrench. I got enough of a extension to get the ones below where the turbo mounts. Other than that, piece of cake!

Sounds good on the replacement fella's. I thought the job might be a major PITA. That's a relief!!!!! As luck would have it (if you can call it that), my heat exchanger was leaking, so I have the turbo currently off. Saved a little work there I guess I will have to pull out the credit card, and order the BD or ATS manifold Are both manifold's about equal quality and price? Thanks again Dave; and all who gave input here! I was going to get a new factory manifold, but Dave convinced me to got the $120 more

Ok so i have a question about the ats/bd manifolds. I know that the ats says that its pre-tapped for a pyro (not sure about the bd) but my question is were is that pre-tap located? Is it in a spot that will allow you to monitor all 6 cylinders temps? Or just 2-3?

The manifolds have a divider in them. You can only monitor 3 cylinders, usually the rear 3.
