Exhaust manifold gaskets today...

Hi all. Going to do the exhaust manifold gaskets today - any tips or fun things I should look out for or is it pretty routine? Lots of wd40 for sure for starters...

"PB Blaster" is far superior.. I had to do mine because the manifold warped and broke two of the bolts in the head.. Have you considered a three piece manifold?

I agree.

I have to agree with the kroil - got them all out without a hitch. Managed to get it back on also and just finishing it up.

I have considered one yes, but totally out of the price range at the moment. Out of curiousity, has anyone heard of a header for these?

A header works by tuning the pulses to the generation frequency, or rpms. They help to keep things flowing at high rpm, extending the peak torque range. The operation is similar to that of a musical wind instrument, like a clarinet or trumpet.

On a 6BT, that would put the common joint behind the transmission somewhere. That's where the turbo would have to be.

Makes sense... Someone posed that question so thought I would ask.

Key word = "supposed"
I used to investigate potential technical investments for an investor. I've seen and heard so much bovine excrement that I'm terminally confused.
