When my u-joint broke the driveshaft crushed the exhaust in an inch or maybe a little less. Since I've been on here I 've learned some about EGT. Sounds like it can nasty fast for the engine. I don't have a pyrometer yet so I can't check mine but will the dent in the exhaust cause a higher EGT?

 

If the dent is only an inch deep, dont worry about it. Have you seen the dent in the stock pipe over the rear axle.

 

The new dent looks like the same depth as the stock dent but wider.

 

Sounds like a good excuse to get a 4" system

I cant immagine a dent will do much of anything. The stock pipe is restictive enough as it is, probably didnt do anything.

 

Stacks all the way!!! 4" DP with 4" or 5" turnouts or 6" Mitre cut!
