exhaust brake

exhaust brake

I got a blue ox exhaust brake off Ebay are they worth putting on my 1990 w250 with a cummins? I haul a camper and travel trailer about 2000 miles ayear the motor is all stock with a gutbag trans Thanks

Yes! If you plan ahead you will only need to touch the brake pedal when somebody does something stupid in front of you.

Make sure you get a set of 60 psi springs for the exhaust valves for the full effect.

Yeah your gonna need some 60lb valve springs.

my dad had a brake on his 95 12 valve with built automatic and it had the 60lb valve springs, and even unloaded going down like an exit ramp he would hit the switch and never touch the brake pedal.

With the crappy braking of the 1st gen's an exhaust brake is a great upgrade.

you think a non-lock up TC from georends in my 727 will be tight enough to use a exhaust brake with?
