Engines! Lets see em!

The reason I ask is because this weekend I plan on painting a few of my engine peices. Valve covers, intercooler tubes, etc. I'm thinking red and black( cummins apex red). Just want to make sure it will look good

That is real pretty, but don't you ever plan to go somewhere hot? It seems to be missing the Ac. ...Mark

Truck doesn't have ac. I guess when the po did the conversion originally he got rid of all the ford ac stuff instead of converting it. Sad really... I would have liked to have it. Oh well.

I'll be working on rebuilding this engine over the next year.
Not sure what color I'll paint it yet.

Yes I made that,
did a favor for the farmer down the road and he let
me grab whatever I wanted out of his large hoard of steel he's collected.
Some more pics of the stand....

I think the valve covers look ok if you strip the paint off. You could clear them if you wanted to. I also dig gloss black and Cummins beige.

Has anyone painted their intercooler? I want to because all the paints chipped off but I wouldn't want to restrict the flow if I put to much paint on it

I just painted mine, I ended up using air craft remover and compressed air. I didn't want to sand blast it because I would have destroyed it.
