Edge dyno

I just got back from Ogden Utah.
Friday night drag races in Salt Lake City. then dyno in Ogden on Saturday. There wernt too many big numbers.
I was very pleased with my results.
92 CTD-332.8 HP and 794.1 LB FT of torque.
Where was everyone from DTR
Oh well it was a lot of fun.

I went to the drags.
Ran my truck 3 times, then my transmission got way too hot and wouldn't shift out of 2nd.
Might have been 3rd, anyway I saw redline on the tach regardless.

Dyno'd last year and haven't done anything to warrant dynoing again, so didn't go on Saturday.

Maybe next year.

What kind of times did you run Phox? If I had known I would have went and said hi to you. I talk to Maddog for a bit He was kind of bummed about blowing a head gasket.
Edge had a good lunch catered this year. It was fun, I think the turnout was a little less than they were thinking.
I enjoy living in a smaller town but have to go to some big events to get that adrenaline flowing again.

Weekend On The Edge was a great event. Lenny, Evan, and I drove the '02 12v Dyno-Mite Diesel Performance truck down from Seattle Thursday afternoon. We met up with the guys from Diesel Dynamics/Edge for breakfast, then headed to Edge for a few minuets, and on to the track. The '02 12v ran a 12.5et at 109mph. When I launched all four 35in tires were spinning. The right front was really smoking! We did have some issues though. The engine only had 1500 miles on it, and needs a little more 'tuning.' We are hoping for much faster times soon.

Frostie - Do you have a white utility box? I only saw one first gen at the dyno event. I was kind of busy though.

Can't remember for sure, but they were in the 18's and 19's.

I got down into the 17's last year, running on the stock 265's, this year I left the 315's on.

I did improve my reaction times, last year they were all over 1.0, even up to 2.5,
this year I got a .6 something and a .8 something.

Guess I should have gone on Saturday, I'd like to see Edges new building.

Old smokey- You drove all that ways and did not say hi, Im a little bit upset at you I Have the Old smokey power pin in my pump. Yes I had the white utility bed and I think the only first gen to dyno. There were lots of duramaxes and powerstokes that did not put down the numbers of my VE pump cummins
My friends 03 with an EZ box put out 5 more HP than me and 84 less FT LBs of torque than me
Phox- Practice makes perfect. Reaction time is very important as you know. The Edge building is nice. Maybe next year we will meet up.

I was just abou tto say the same thing as J-eh. It was a very short time ago that folks said you couldn't break 300hp with a VE. Great job!!

Pretty soon, though, you are going to have to swap an 80 axle under that truck . . .

Thanks guys,
Yep I already put 1 new ring and pinion set in it
By the way on the trip home there was 2 powerstrokes that got spankings In fact one of the female passengers in one of those powerstrokes gave me an obscene gesture after I gave em a spanking, including lots of smoke, then let them go by

frostie,

Sorry I didn't make it over to say hi. I was pretty busy the whole day. You may have seen me working under the tent behind the Edge semi on a gray dodge with the Edge/DD team. I was wearing a red DDP shirt and a blue hat. I'm happy to hear that you made good numbers on the dyno. Someone had to represent the first gen crowd.

Mike, If you were on the back street then I remember a few guys behind a semi trailer. working on something, I put on a brief smoke show back there after my dyno, I was kind of pumped at the time.
Maybe next year.

If I am interpreting this correctly, she was probably holding up one finger? I always tell my wife that I had someone tell me that I am #1 when I get that gesture. You were faster than them wo you were #1! Just the other night I had some ricer let me know I was #1. I had a horrible headache and I could hear his stereo booming. A little too much fuel at a low boost. I didn't have to listen to that stereo anymore. He kept a respectable 100yds between him and my tailpipe.
