Eastern PA Spring Meet?

I was wondering if there would be enough interest in a Spring Meet somewhere in Eastern PA?

I'd love to go to Kentucky, but schedule does not permit enough time. It occurs to me that there might be enough of us in the PA, NY and NJ area, as well as others who can drive a greater distance, to get together for some coffee, do a couple springs, goose a couple pumps, and generally smell the diesel. (Dave could even kill a pin or two just to keep in practice.)

I don't have any place in particular in mind, but maybe by throwing it out to you, and if there is enough interest, our collective minds can put something together. We could shoot for sometime late May or into June (or later).

Is anyone else interested? Or is there already something in the works around here that I have not heard about?
Bob

We need a place and a date. You guys have both been down to my house, so you know it can't be here unless there are just a couple of trucks.

Im in if its not TOO close to June 9th, sometime in May works for me. I'm sure Greg would be up for a drive. I dont know how "east" PA u were thinkin, but Id be willin to drive a couple hours. I know a couple truck stops down on I-81, one of em has a Perkins restaurant in it (X-77 manada hill), another is a smaller one but nice lil diner. (X-100 Pine grove) theres enough room for a G2G at each.

A PA meet? I'd be all over that. I live a little south of Buffalo so I can drive it. My 5th anniversary is in May, I wonder what my wife would think? We could make a sort of swap meet out of it too. I got a Lund Moonvisor I took off and don't need. We should all take our trucks to Thuderpull this year too July 14. We could all park together and show some old school diesel performance.

I wouldn't mind heading a bit North. Cowboy, we are all East of Allentown if that helps give you an idea. Maybe something up at the North end of 2476 would work for everyone? I know there's a big truck stop up there.

The Buck is in Southern Lancaster county, so that's a bit of a stretch for the NY guys.

Spring Fling is May 19 & 20. I can't make it the 19th.

Hey Dave, at the top of 476 in scranton there is a rather large Petro, i think its x-178B plenty of room for a bunch of trucks in the back anyway during the day. Especially on the weekend. I havent really heard a whole lot about the spring fling, I know there was something going on down in MD in Cecil county I think they were putting on. Im big time in for Spring Fling, I have a few friends from my Ferd forum that goes down. Id be up for Lancaster county, I like the drive through that part of PA country. I'll check the links on it to see if I can do it.
lol, pretty much if I plan on it Greg is game too, but still gotta ask em! lol

Since I started this thread, I'll chime in... Philly is ok with me, but a stretch for the NY folks. A Truck stop in Scranton would be ok for a meet - but how are they if were to get to doing some work on our trucks?

I have a farm in Sulllivan County - an hour west of Scranton,
South of Binmingtom, East of Williamsport, about 3 1/2 hours north of Philly.

There is space to park plenty of trucks, lots of tools, compressor, out of the weather work area. Lots of fresh country air.

I'm ok with the majority vote.

I don't think a truck stop would be cool with us working on trucks.

I am OK with any of the options.
