Dumb story for the day.
Dumb story for the day.
So to give you an abbreviated background as to why I did this, put in POD's, smokes a lot all the time, blueish whitish, went to advance timing and pump was already almost at the end of the slide notches, but the stock timing marks seemed to match up. So I got the bright idea to take the gear that drives the injection pump and rotate it one tooth. The way I see it, since you rotate the top of the pump toward the head, counterclockwise looking from front, I'd rotate the gear one tooth clockwise looking from the front. So after a few hours of scrubbing grease off, cleaning it, doing all this work, put it back together and fire it up. It idles nice and quiet now, bout 50rpm lower, and smokes a LOT. Lol, appearently I went the wrong way. Oh well, I reckon that's my project again for tomorrow night...at least next time I'll know what I'm doing and it should go realatively quick. Take it easy,

I think that if every trick that we use on our truck were thought to be dumb before anybody tried them, we would all be running around with stock truck's right now.
thank's to people like you we have a whole lot of little tweaks that we can do to our truck's to make em run gooder.
