Somebody fudged a second battery into mine. I undid that. Had a few trucks with duals and quite happy these only need one. If I did need 2, they would be on the other side of the truck, and not under the hood.

I literally owned that vehicle from 95-2004. Al the pics I have of it are on this site.
This truck right here had what look like factory dual batters- now, mind you, this was Alaska, and starting a diesel in winter in Alaska is a challenge when you forget to plug it in. Anytime around 40 below I had to plug it in or no start at all. Above that, needed the big battery power.
Who has the best kit for putting in a two battery system on our first gen trucks?
Where did you get it and do you have pics of your system please?
I have an Odyssey agm battery mounted on it’s side in the space behind the driver and in front of the rear wheel and a battery isolator to prevent one battery from draining the other…Mark

In AZ I would think a diesel would start if all you did was look at it hard.
Here in OK I have to remember to let the grid heaters cycle but it starts right up even if I forget. I have the block heater though which will be nice on those mornings when I want the heater to work right away.
