dual battery
I was looking at my battery setup and wondering if i could turn it sideways and add another one next to it you guys have any ideas or picks to keep the creative juices flowing!
well he would be obviously. If I'm not mistaken, he's just talking about placement of the batteries.
If it wasn't like -25C and 11:42PM I'd go outside and take a pic or 2 to show what I did with my dual battery setup. Maybe tomorrow if I remember.

I could never manage two Group-31s side-by-side on the existing tray, as they are so long that they will not clear some of the other stuff in that proximity.
Others have used two smaller batteries in such manner, but I refuse to use anything BUT Group-31s, so I am contemplating other mounting options on the Dodge trucks around here.
One option that I had my eye on and also noticed where Jim Lane also used the spot is to relocate the washer-jug and make a battery mount to fit there.
Another option I am contemplating on the wife's truck that has a topper is to make a double battery compartment in the space between the left rear wheel-well and tail-gate.
These two batteries would be isolated and dedicated to the starter ONLY, with the single battery under the hood taking care of ALL other accessories.
I am designing a super heavy-duty front bumper for the son's truck that will have two battery compartments built behind the bumper, one each side of the winch, with these two being isolated to the starter.
I made a frame-mounted double battery carrier for my Ford/Cummins that resides in front of the right rear wheels.
I kept the left side under-hood battery and removed the right side one to make room for other goodies.
One cannot have too many batteries.

hey-Hey!!!,
I'd run the blue Optima; it has a set of stud terminals that can be used to tie the two in parallel, with only one battery getting the stock lead clamps to its posts. Currently running an Optima 31 blue and it just lit the 1990 this morning at 5 F w/o waiting for the grid heaters...
Two of the smaller ones like that gasser has would be pretty sweet.
cheers,
Douglas
