Downshift cable
Downshift cable
I know i've been over this before but i finally found out today after dodge took my $75 3 months ago that they no longer make downshift cables for our trucks
. So I guess I'll have to take it to a cable shop, but the nearest one is about 100 miles away and I don't have any other cars and I need my truck everyday. So if I take the cable completely off, can I still drive it for a couple of days without the cable.
Thanks

Bad idea, without the TV cable your line pressure will be way low and you risk toasting the unit. You could try setting the TV linkage about 1/2 way thru it`s travel but keep a keen ear on the way it`s shifting. If you can`t dig up a solution to your cable woes you might want to try a Lokar setup. I put one on a gas truck i had and it was a very nicely made piece.
here ya go,
