It says they fit '73-'79 Dodge trucks, and I'm pretty sure the door seals on my '78 are exactly the same as on my '90.

May not be exact but probably would work. I'll have to look but I think my '76 has a gasket all the way around while my '92 doesn't have it on the bottom or does it ?

Anyway, I'll look at both and let you know.

The door seals are all but exactly the same, if there is any difference, I didn't see it. I used them on my '76 gasser. And Saturn is a real helpful group - been there in person - a couple hours south of me.

Looks the same to me too. The '92 has a sill plate which is what threw my memory off.

I have the Saturn seals on my '76 and they're great.

What is the price on those seals? I was kicking around the site and couldn't find the price.

Need another coffee I guess!

JP.

P.S.: I found it, $22.50. That is quite a place, wish it was just down the road from me!

Will Gaskets Work On Crew Cab?

Hey guys i've been monitoring this post and was curious if the gaskets y'all are talking about will work on crew in my sig? Does this company have windshield/rear window gaskets? I found new oem gaskets for wing vents and am getting ready to install those. I have a friend who works for Hendrick auto body (Jeff Gordon/Hendrick) and he was able to run my vin and came up with a large selection of replacement parts for our trucks. Also another source for rubber components is Steele Rubber Products here in North Carolina. Thanks guys!! .......... Augie

CLICK here, then scroll down to DODGE parts :

http://saturnsurplus.com/vehicles/vehicles.htm

These guys are military vehicle surplus dealers, so I bet they probably have just about anything for the military Dodges, maybe just not in big enough quantity to list.

For comparison, here is the JCWhitney price for only ONE door :

Who's buying

So who's going to order and offer a professional opinion as to which ones to buy????

I have a Metro Weatherstripping distributor here in town BUT he's asking 60.00 for one darn door!!!!!!!!!! A little steep for me.

Anyways, looking and waiting for feed back. I'm tempted to try the surplus ones for the price.

When you think about it, the military-surplus ones are probably the real-deal from Dodge, and not aftermarket, even though most of the aftermarket weatherstripping is pretty good.

Like I said, I put the surplus ones on about 5 or 6 years ago and they have been fine. If I remember correctly I had to cut off about 1' off each side to they gave me plenty.

I've bought a bunch of stuff from them for my M880 over the years. All has been OEM. Only problem I ever had was when I ordered shocks, all the boxes were identical but when I opened them later every shock was different .

Ordered

Well, I decide to order a two sets for my Crew Cab...................we'll see when they arrive.

The ones from Saturn have to be glued and the ones from JC attach via the pinch method.

I have enough trucks around here that if they don't work on the crew that I'm sure they'll work on something else.

Thanks for the lead and info to the sites.
