Yep, just as the title says My driver's side door will not lock. The plastic garbage in the door mechanism has shattered.Salvage yards locally do not have a door let alone latches. Does anyone know if something else will work? From say a another MOPAR product. I have electric door locks but I can live without it on the driver's side.

Your talking about the main clamp and lock mechanism, not the keyed door lock right? Any 80-93 dodge ram truck will work....might not have the provision for electric lock, but should bolt up and go.

Only thing I can think of that might be different is there was a transition year where they went to a smaller latch pin on the cab frame. The latch assembly will only work with the correct pin size.
