Don't slam the door !
Part Gripe, part wonder?
Do you guys have everyone (that's not a fellow enthusiast) slam your doors when they get in your truck ???
The first thing I did when I bought this truck was to adjust my doors so that they close with little effort. Taking about 10 minutes a door, and adjusting the hinges (took only the lower hinge to accomplish) and striker, and my doors close like a brand new truck. Luckily my lower hinge hasn't destroyed the door shell yet, but that's something that I'll work on in the future.
Back on topic.
Does everyone who gets in your truck slam your doors ? I can't tell you how many times I've told people that they don't have to hercules the door when getting in, but still they don't listen. I'm to the point now that my wife is the only one I'll let in the truck...
and that's only because she's tired of hearing me yell at her for slamming the door.
Stupid preconceived notion that all truck doors need to be slammed....
BTW,
For years, I couldn't figure out why my toyota pickup needed the doors to be slammed in order to close them, until I closed the door with the window open... and it simply shut with no effort. Turns out it's the air pressure in the cab that prevents the door from shutting properly, so now I just crack the window, and it latches with a simple light pull. My dodge is the same way....

That was one of my dads pet pieves when I was growing up so I quickly learned to NOT slam the doors.
He used to tel people "this isn't a Chevy, you don't have to slam the door!"
He always has driven Fords.
So needless to say, I have been living what you are talking about for 36 yrs now, first in my parents house and now in mine, passing it on to my kids.

I have my passenger door set perfect for a nice smooth gentle closing and my 7 year old is the only one I know that won't slam it. My door panel is even busted from idiots grabbing the inner handle and yanking on it to slam.
Folks slam my passenger door so hard the mirror swings inward and I have to readjust the mirror to see anything. I've tightened it twice. I always try to leave a wing window open to eliminate the cab pressure when closing.
Drives me insane when I hear anyone do it on any vehicle.
My gf did it a couple of times. I told her "Hey, I'd like to keep the body panels on the truck. You don't have to slam the door, just give it a gentle push." She's been real good about it since. She'll close it ever so gently and look at me and smile

If I don't "slam" the door, it won't latch. If I adjust it so I don't have to, it leaks. I ain't broke a door yet from slamming it, but I have near froze to death from a draft.
Besides, slamming the doors scares the Fords.

My front door on the crew used to close with little effort. Then I installed new door seals and they now require massive force to close. I'm really disappointed with the door seals I got from JC whitney.

When you get to thier house, tell them you need to use the bathroom. Go into the house, slam the house door, slam the bathroom door, slam the toilet cover, then when they ask you what the heck is wrong with you, tell them thats how they treat your truck!
Same here! I can't adjust my driver door properly no matter how many times I try.
