Does anyone know whose truck this is?
This guy has had his truck posted in Fresno Ca for about a month now, he will not answer his phone, and every time I've called his voicemail is full. He wont answer his email, and I even tracked him down on facebook and he wont message me back. I've flagged his ad multiple times and nothing has happened. The picture links are for this site so I figured maybe someone knows him.
Well I wasn't going to respond to this thread but thinking maybe I should? I have NO KNOWLEDGE OF THIS AD MENTIONED!
I recently read about some serious internet frauds in Kalifornia, some in Fresno. Seems that people are posting up fraudulent ads, then when folks show up to purchase, with a pocket full of cash, they're held up at gun point or knife point, and/or assaulted when they show up alone! Has supposedly happened several times.
Again, I have no knowledge regarding the particular ad above but strongly suggest you CYA whenever responding to those kind of ads. Bring some backups, either a buddy or Mr. Hollowpoint or both...

All craigslists ads that I've been a part of, either selling or buying, I've met the other party in a crowded shopping center. I have no need to know where they live, nor do I want them to know where I do.
Be careful, and stay safe as mentioned above.

Seems a good idea, NJTman, but I was surprised to read that in one of those cases I mentioned the people had gone to meet someone at a shopping center, to either buy or sell a cell phone or Ipad or something. They were robbed there in the parking lot!
It's getting so weird out there now... I think it's CCW time, if not long past time?

Whenever I meet up with a stranger for a transaction of some sort I bring either my dad or brother. Luckily (but not at all fool proof) Im a 225lb rugby player and can put out the "Dont screw with my vibe," pretty dang good. That being said Im no longer pursuing this truck but was just interested to know if the guy who owns it wasnt aware of the ad or something else was up. Thanks for the tips fellas!

When I go to look at a car or a craig's list item, I google the nearest branch of my bank to the place I'm going and never bring cash. I just tell the seller I'll be back with the cash. In AZ anyone that is not looney, a minor or prohibited possessor can (and usually does) carry a concealed weapon without a permit or any training. I was a certified peace officer in AZ prior to my retirement, as a fire investigator, so I actually have training. This actually poses a problem for a potential crook, he may bring a knife to a gun fight, usually a big mistake.

Maybe368, yes sir, I sure do miss AZ! More good advice...
I bought my truck in Akron off Craigslist. I had the man meet at Summit racing during hours they was open. I know they have cameras there thought that was a good place. First thing I did was take pic of the truck with plates and when the man got out took pic of him getting out of truck. Then sent pics to my sister. Worked out good. There been a lot of problems with Craigslist around here. Can never be to careful.
both nice trucks, Ive purchased many from the cl, and on the flip side, that publication has moved a lot of parts and trucks from my possession, knock on wood, ive had no problems and highly appreciate the alternative income, I regard the publication as another tool in the shop, to keep me busy working. I also keep a firearm front and center visible to all.
