Alright here we go again,just when I get one thing squared away something else goes on.It appears that I have fuel dripping from the bottom of my injector pump towards the back ,when I say back I mean towards the firewall end of the pump but definitley from the bottom side somewhere,or maybe could be running from the block side to the bottom. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Hi,
One part of your IP advance is on the block side of the pump and has a plate with two screws that covers an o-ring. If that is it the pump needs to be removed to change the o-ring. The seal Kit is 18 dollars at a Bosch dealer.
It takes longer to remove and install the pump then to rebuild it.

Is this a common place for leaks to occur?

You have a rubber gasket between the top and bottom body parts of the Pump also. Could be that , but most often it is the advance o-ring. I had that o-ring go out in mine. Was a edit to remove the pump the first time. Did not like putting the shaft woodruff key into the pump gear at 5:30 position and not able to see it.
