Diesel Auto Power 6x13s?

Just curious if anyone has ran these new 6x13 injectors by JKidd. I'm running 5x16s from DAP now and they sure run hot and smoke alot. Looking for something new but don't want to loose to much power. Any thoughts. http://dieselautopower.com/diesel-au...-ve6x13sac145/

I won't touch any injector that doesn't run Bosch tips.

I went from a 6-hole nozzle to a 5-hole nozzle for the potential power improvement (see fine print).

- The idea is that, for the same volume of fuel injected, the 5-hole will result in a greater (deeper) piston-bowl directed penetration of the charge-air to occur during the injection event . . . . . . compared to the 6-hole.

Perhaps the 6-hole presents a cleaner burn, but for power, go 5-hole.

Fine Print: I made good WOT power (480something to the ground) with some Scheid 6x016 EDMs. Those being selected then, based on what other big power VE fueled engines were using.

The fact I've split two of those nozzles had me seek a less potentially engine destroying make/model.

My research led me to the information presented above. Take it for what it's worth. . . . . .. and perhaps they don't split as much with my application.

I've gone to a 5x018 that have been flow-honed stupid-bigger along with some other work. While waiting for more air, I've temporarily backed off the fuel-screw so as to match the "pull", of the former injectors. They run well thus far.

Have you considered spending said money on a turbo upgrade? Air to burn/support the wasted fuel (smoke/high EGTs).

Once I figured out what I was doing wrong, my 7X.010" ran cleaner and cooler than the 5X.012" I'd been running for a long time. The power was a bit better also. The fix? Fuel delivery rate, aka fuel pin.

What's so bad about an afc delete. I know Denny T personally and all i can say is he is one of the brightest, most honest I've come across and don't believe he would make and sell a part that was not heavily researched and of the best quality

See cougar's post above...it's about over fueling, iow too much fuel for the amount of air available.

I understand it's too much fuel for the turbo i have now and i doubt the s475 I'm fixing to add to it will clear up the low end very much. My question was about anyone running 6x13s on a ve truck. I was just curious if anyone out there has any experience with these injectors as to the best of my knowledge they have not been out very long. I plan to keep the afc delete. I personally love it's functionality and appearance. Allows for easier access to several parts of the pump as well i think.

I've recently adjusted my pump and modified my HE351 a little for more boost but my main concern with the 5x16s is haze at idle. The HE351 clears up very well and very fast once i get on the throttle. EGTs are relatively low now as well, even after a decent wot pull. Granted i have backed off the fuel screw a decent amount until i have the extra turbo to justify threading it back in a good way. On a side note, BC847, you've had some great write ups. I've got your valve spring post saved to my phone for when the time comes. Im holding off until i can do the springs, studs and pushrods all at the same time. If the money man will allow it.

I've ran many different sets of dap injectors. All I can tell you is I've had big name big dollar injectors and dap perform the same if not better. For about half of the price.
