diagnosing A vibration in drive line
I have recently put a 4 inch lift on the truck , I did have this before the lift to The alignment was done the tires were balanced (with the stick on weights )
I put the sway bar drop on and the pitman arm. The drive shafts seem fine no play what so ever same as the bearings as far as I can tell. there doesn't seem to be any play in the front pinion joints but kind of hard to tell . Is there any method to pinpoint this type of problem .
Oh and would the steering shaft do this ?
The shake is around 100 kilometers an hour and then it goes away ,I would not describe it as the death wobble. I have locked the front in and it does it disengaged to free wheeled the hubs too still there
my next step I think is put the back on jack stands and run it up to see if there is any vibration there just to pinpoint and then take drive shaft of back and jack the front and run it up
anyone have any other ideas ? thank you

I have a similar, very minor, vibration when the speedo says 60mph. Probably really 55mph, but I don't ever drive 55, and you wouldn't know it was there unless it was your truck, if you know what I mean.
I had a vibration at about 65 m.p.h. and replaced all sorts of stuff. Not all at once mind you. I did tires, checked for bent wheels, ALL new u-joints(including frontaxle), kingpins, new rear drive shaft, rebuilt the overdrive in trans, pinion bearings, checked motor mounts, adjusted valves, steering shaft and the vibration was still there. The fix ended up being a new power steering pump. I am not saying it is the same problem you have, but keep it in mind.

I have checked the drive shafts to see if there is any play, not to see that they are bent.
universals have no play steering is solid no play replaced steering box year ago
I am thinking of getting the sacks that you put inside the tires and if that dosent work i guess there is always the kingpins
I will check the drive line again
Thank you
