Death wobble ?

Truck is a 1993 W250 auto. For about the last 2 to 3 months my truck has a bad steering problem. When you turn a corner and come back to straight the steering wheel goes from right to left or left to right and back and forth in that fashion for quite a while. Eventually it will stop only to come back at the next turn . The steering wheel moves all on it's own back and forth back and forth. You have to hold it to go striaght and the steering continues to move. I have replaced the following to try and fix the problem. Gear box, installed a borgensen steering shaft, new shocks, power steering pump and hoses, new king pin bushings and springs, switched wheels and tires, new warn hubs. I have not changed the tie rods they feel fine. Nice and tight.
I'm at a loss and tired of throwing money at it. Could the front axle ujoints cause this problem ? I've had the truck to 2 different shops and they don't have a clue. Any help. It's so bad the truck is almost not driveable. I NEED HELP IT'S GETTING OLD. Thanks

well, if the box is good, new shaft and all that.. I had a death wobble issue on my 92.. It was a worn drag link.. The bar that goes from the pitman arm to the knucle... 65 bucks at auto zone and no more DW.. And it still has the worn out steering coupler and the box has a ton of slop and the drag link fixed it.. I would try that next

Throw a pair of dual steering stabilizers on there if your running oversized tires, always fixed DW for me.

Already on the truck and they do nothing to stop the wobble.

Is the front end of the truck bouncing up and down, side to side, as if you were running over washboards when this happens? Or is the steering wheel simply shaking back and forth violently not the entire truck?

I can hold the steering wheel straight and watch the front of the truck(hood) move back and forth. The steering wheel wants to move also. It is not bump related.

The 96 I had did that, as you I changed everything with no help. Checked the toe-in it was messed up. One tire in about a half inch the other out about 3/4''. Fixed that and had front end professionally lined up and cured all the dw issues. I didn't get to drive it but 30/40 miles total till I fixed it, that's why I bought it for cheapppp I guess. Good luck and be careful driving it.
