Thumbs down Dealer pricing

Upon installing my new Prime-Loc Fuel Filter relocation kit, I find the Water In Fuel light on. On closer inspection I find 1 of the wires that comes out of the sensor on the bottom of the fuel filter to be broke off right at the plastic which means there's no hope for a quick repair. But at least I find out why the light decides to come on now.
I go onto the Internet and find this sensor brand new for $20.95 tho I have to pay a couple of bucks for shipping. O.K. Next I call my local Shucks Auto Parts where they tell me that they don't have it. Next I call the dealer where I'm informed that yes, they have it and the price is $53.90. They have 1 left so should we put it off to the side for you?? No, probably not as I'll take the chance that you still have it SHOULD HELL FREEZE OVER AND I CAN'T FIND ONE ON EARTH ANYWHERE ELSE!!! WOW!! I knew these guys were high but THAT HIGH???
I guess I don't need to tell you where I finally bought that sensor?? Chuck

You can also eliminate the WIF by buying fuel filters for a 5.9L in a CaseIH tractor.

Dealers around here charge full list price as well. I only go there if I absolutely have to.

Kinda like the old John Deere parts. They were outragous! Everyone complained, even stopped buying JD equipment because of it. They started loosing market share because of parts prices. They some wiZzBANg college graduate decided to do a study and guess what. JD decided to lower the prices on replacement parts. They never have gotten all the market share back they once had, but it improved.

Maybe DC is reading this?

What DC doesn't understand that when people buy a truck and find out they charge $25 for a $9 oil filter owners are going to look elsewhere for their next truck, or at the very least stay away from the dealers service center.
