Dealer Installed Overdrive?
Reading 1972Redneck's thread reminded me of a recently viewed truck's description on that on-line auction service;

In the description the owner claims "Dealer option GEAR VENDOR second over drive unit with the rare factory emblems"
Anyone seen or heard of that before? Misinformation or was that once a dealer option? Factory emblems? I see an additional badge under the regular emblem but can't read it.

Since Gear Vendors started doing business in '81, it is possible, but certain news to me that is was ever a dealer option.
I kinda doubt that... The customer may have bought it and had the dealer install it, sounds more believable.
The Gear Vendors unit is about a $3000 for the set up.
