DANA 70 & 80 pinion yokes interchangeable?

The D80 I bought came with a bad pinion yoke. As I am looking for a new one the parts show from 89 to 2002. Does the Dana 70 and 80 have the same pinion yoke? That would be great cause the one in my D70 is not that old. Thanks.

Nope, I tried using my 70 on the 80 when I did the swap. 80 is much larger.

Did you have to buy a new D80 yoke and, if yes, do you remember how much it was? I see some that specify Spicer and others that don't, is there a comparable manufacture to Spicer when it comes to yokes?

Do you buy locally or on line? The local drive-line guy around me thinks he has gold on his shelves.

The redlinear guy has about 5 D80 used yokes for $50. At this point I am replacing almost everything new, but I would rather buy a new one for $80 like Pulltilbroke said. I guess I will try for another disappointing visit to the local guy. Thanks.
