Creaky front end

When I turn my wheel I get some pops (like my knees). The alignment checks out as do the ball joints (king pins?).
Does anyone have experience with this issue?

Probably the U-joints in the axle shafts binding. Try jacking up the front and turning the tires with the front wheels turned (hubs locked in). If you have bad u-joints you will feel them binding.

Mine does the same thing especially when I have my wheels cut left and am backing up then start straightening out. Replaced the draglink because it had a little bit of play.. same deal.
Rebuilt the driveline the steady bearing was shot anyways but still makes the noise. I lubed everything there is to lube. I'm putting new front springs on tommorrow so I'll check it out again. Wish I could find it.

I'm starting to think I have some loose rivets on the frame. I wealded the brace by the steering box because it was moving and causing noise, but there might be other spots.

It makes me cringe every time I have to turn the wheel in a parking lot!

Check the frame around the steering gear. It's prone to cracking.

the u bolts holding the springs to the axle will pop if you have oil or grease all over them and low tire tread and wide tires will make them pop(spring slipping) on the spring perches some times retightening them will stop it

Mine did that on with the wheel turned to the left pretty far. It would make a creeeking/crunching sound when it hit a small bump or anything while I was turning slowly. New springs and shocks and it's gone.

I think it has something to do with sagging and the full wheel turn. If you look at the struct bar it looks like it locks into the spindle on a full turn.

My springs are reverse arched. Shocks are new RS 9000 set on full stiff. Where did you get your springs?
