Crazy Pyro

it went crazy last week and now nothing it does like jolt the needle when i start but no reaading at all i found the wiring to the probe. i didnt install it so im thinking i may need to try to ground it out better this truck is awful when it comes to the wiring i cant wait to get my new harness in.

Yes, make sure it's grounded straight to the negative terminal on the battery and no where else. If they used the body to ground it it will do crazy stuff.

Yep you need to ground straight to the bat. One reason why i dont like autometers, but besides that their a great insturment. Also check the connections to the thermocouple, and look for damage to the wires on the thermocouple

the wires on the thermocouple look bad hacked together i didnt install it. i think im gonna try grounding to the battery and if its not that im ordering a new thermocouple i guess.?

yeah i have no idea what they were thinking with this wiring job but safety and looking nice werent on his punch list.
