I'm just happy I didn't need to type 9 characters to say it.

Your dealer is wrong. I know of no crank flange differance on 6bt cummins..

Sure there is, the one you have fits and he doesn't get 2500 bucks in his pocket.

I would ask him to explain the differences to you.

the only difference is the driveplate (flywheel) mounted to the rear of the crank for auto trans converters or manual trans clutches. there's no difference in the cranks. you could analyze them side by side all day long and not find a single difference. dealer parts guys don't know very much. they only know part names and numbers.

jimbo486 I disagree with you. Most don't know what your talking about. After search a computer they say it's not in the computer, then ask are you sure that came off a vehicle because it's not in the computer. Famous last words of a parts guy at a dealer--I CAN ORDER IT AND IT WILL BE HERE IN @ DAYS.

The OP was not asking the differance between flywheel vs. flexplate. It was bolt pattern on a 6B/BT crankshaft flange...

I've had 2 different manual trannys and an auto on mine and no fit issues. So i doubt there is a difference.
