cranked pump, now what?
cranked pump, now what?
so i cranked up the injector pump and now the truck spinds the tires so good, but i want to know what else i should do?, straight pipe it and run 4"? it has straight right now but stock size, and then should i get a air intake also? and the EGT guage and whats the other guage? and what should be the max the EGT can get up to? will the truck still be fine to drive with the exhaust i have now? for around town and such? because my buddys needs a hand getting a project truck from the bosses yard. so should i be good for that?. thanks

No pyrometer gauge yet and your playing with the pump? Big no-no
. Keep your foot out of it until you get at least a pyro. You should get a boost gauge as well. Max EGTs you should allow is 1250 to play it safe. 3" straight pipe is fine but a 4" will help keep the EGTs down and it sounds better IMO.

i got my gauges setting in my glove box, i just need my temperature probes, i just let my truck "burn down" for a little while before i shut it off. if the truck still runs and it ain't messing up, then everything must be ok, right???
