cracked valve body

Well its a long story but about 6 months ago i went to dallas texas to race my truck on my way there i blew the accumulator apart. While i was at the track i pulled it apart and jb welded it so i could get back home. Then for christmas santa brought me a billet accumulator to replace the jb welded stock one. So today i pulled the pan and put the billet one in and as im snugging all the valve body bolts down i hear a cracking noise, i look and see the the valve body cracked directly under the billet accumulator.( On a side note i have a solid rod that goes in the accumulator instead of a spring that way i can have firmer shifts) So i take it all apart and measure everything and come to find out the billet is shallower inside the accumulator than the stock one. So lessoned learned is always measure your parts, dont expect them to all be the same.

Now i have a cracked valve body, a guy down the road thinks he can fix the crack so we will see monday.

Just get a used VB. Then swap the parts you need and be done with it.

I'm curious about this... got any pics or how to do it? I'm not a trans guru but have turned up my line pressure and adjusted the bands, and am lookin for more little cheap trans mods.
