If memory serves me correctly, that steering box mounting plate is about $28 down at your local Dodge dealer.

Crossover steering? That loses the plate and puts the box in the 2wd position.

Yeah, there have been a couple threads that dealt with it recently. I haven't been paying real close attention because I have a D model.

any leads on that x over steering project mhuppertz?i know there are many places that you can buy the plate that goes on top of the knuckle.they are around 100 bucks.you also have to buy the dana 60 stud kit which is like another 25.the part that i dont know about is how you would get the box to mount to the frame and i dont know exatly how the pitman arm would clear the frame coming back across but maybe im thinking about it wrong.i do know that i would like to lose that stupid bracket.oh ye and someone needs to make you a drag link piece that goes from the pitman arm to the new hi steer knuckle

think i saw something said earlier about the two wheel drive mount used for this style steering. maybe the two wheel drive uses something close to what you are looking for.

The kits I have found seem to all require at least a 2" lift. I don't know if that means over stock or what. I have a few emails out to the companies for clarification. It looks line more than I can spend right now, and it also is said to only make a difference for high articulation angles where the stock system looses it's ability to turn right (I think).
On a realted note, I think I will put in x-over steering on my 1941 Dodge WC Military!

I'm going to do crossover steering when it comes time to add another couple inches of lift. That would be at some point when the 2.5" Syjackers on there now start to sag. Mine steers great with the 2.5" Skyjackers, now that I have the Borgenson and a steering damper on there. It was pretty bad when I first got it with a worn out coupler. Boregeson cured 90% of the problem, but it still had a little bump steer, probably due to the 285's. Steering damper was the last thing that made it 100% good.
