Compression leak at #6 injector
Compression leak at #6 injector
I FINALLY put my DDP stage 3 injectors in today.
I made the nifty little injector pulling tool and the first five came out smooth.
The sixth injector was close to impossible, the injector started turning with the hold down nut and it took a lot more than 45 foot pounds of torque to remove it. Cleaned it up a little, put some WD40 in there and put the new injector in. Seemed a little harder to push down than the rest. Tightened the nut to 45 and fired it up. Now I have compression blowing around the injector.
Do I tighten it up some more or pull it back apart and see if there is a piece of carbon under the washer? Advise me guys..........
Thanks.

Will the washer still be good?
I suppose it would be a bad idea to drive it tomorrow.
Got an S300 and 4" exhaust to go on too.
Can't wait to see what drama unfolds with that.
D'oh (in my best Homer Simpson impersonation ever).
Walked into the shop this morning and one of the first things I notice is a small copper washer on the ground. It was a curiosity (I think I'm pretty observant), but I didn't make the connection until I pulled the #6 injector again and noticed...........no washer.
Guys and gals, the washers are necessary. Put it in after I cleaned the bore, started up and now runs like my old Dodge Dart 340 Swinger did. Wow.
Now I gotta figure out what to do about the traction problem I now have.
S300 swap is mostly done today.
May actually have to dyno this thing someday.
Thanks for the help!
