Jim, How did you go about raising your pedal?

You need to release the cable and then remove the pedal assembly then using the mounting as a template cut out a spacer out of phenolic, plastic or any suitable dense material, drill out the mounting holes and then install it between the firewall and the pedal, this will raise the pedal off the floor to allow for thicker padding or carpeting.

The thickness is determined how long the studs are.

If you need to tighten the cable then what I did was cut a slot in a 1/4x20 nut and slipped it between the end of the cable and the pedal arm.

Over extending the throttle cable will be protected by the break over spring.

I can check for pictures if you do not understand.

I did the same with an 1/8" cable stop (aluminum) and crimped it just until the ends butted against one another. Works great!

I like how the carpet you got covers the entire floor from the firewall to the rear of the cab. Is that custom from the guy who revamped your interior or did he order it from a supplier? I'm wanting to get carpet and have my seat reupholstered. I'm looking at a carpet from stockinteriors.com and am wondering if it runs the full length of the cab. I plan to call them tomorrow to get some details. Hopefully they'll have some answers for me 'cause they're fairly inexpensive as far as the carpet goes!

Jim,
The shop that did my upholstery also made my carpet for me, they make them custom for the truck including the heel pad under the pedals.

When I had my truck in the shop last month I had them pull out the seat for me and I took it down and had them repair the springs, build it up and then reupholster it for me, I took it back to the body shop and they reinstalled it for me, it was like driving a brand new truck again.

I Dropped off the seat at 10:00 A.M. and picked it up at 4:30 P.M. cost my $275.00

Most all jobs you drop off in the morning and pick it up that afternoon.

This place is really old school, doesn't even have a website but they have been doing our upholstery since the 60's
