Cold Start Vid With Stans 4-Inch Straight Pipe

I bought the Stan's 4" with out the Donaldson's muffler... I asked for the straight pipe they offer in place of it. Have had the pipe for a while now, not new.

The truck has been sitting for some time so I decided to video the start up.

Hope you like it... sounds kind of rough at first but smooths out.

Great video, I have been wondering if they will delete the muffler in the kit. So I take it that you put on your own piece?

Hello all,

They supplied the piece and the price was the same.

If you do order a straight pipe w/out the muffler the piece they give you in replacement needs to be cut about 5 inches in order to fit correctly. Not that big of a deal.

I thought that I may get a break on the price since I wasn't asking for the big muffler but no, it is the same price as if I had ordered it w/out the muffler.

I haven't a tach so I do not know the idle rpm.s/ Would be really nice to have one though.

Thank you... any more questions?
Tom

That is good to know because I am going to be getting the Stans kit hopefully soon. Also I am not sure I heard that if you talk to them they will be able to make the down pipe shorter for a wastegated housing. Somebody was talking about this a while ago, said that they made the down pipe to compensate for the longer wast gated housing. Anybody know about this? Just curious

You should be able to get that.

Thanks for checking out the "cummins trip video"
just me and my dog on that one.

That was a 700 mile round trip pulling the small travel trailer.
If you are even near Susanville calif, Crater lake... aka Crater mountain is a must... along with Hat Creek.

I had to throw, The Good, The Bad and The Ugly music on there. May be annoying to some.

from what I remember the kit was near 600.

Your video is awesome... sound is so nice... dont need much visual.

I wish I had a 6-speed or manual tranny.

They work so well with eachother.

I wish I had a gear splitter in mine but they cost money wish someone would find away to convert an a518's overdrive unit into a sperate one so we could make our own "gear vendors overdrive" for less $$$
